Successfully letting and managing property in Eastbourne since 1983

Coastguard Cottage is located in Normas Bay a coastal hamlet in the Pevensey Levels area of East Sussex   Normans Bay is near the popular seaside resorts of Eastbourne and Brighton to the west and Bexhill-on-Sea to the east, with a regular train service on the hour during the day (not Sundays). It is served by Normans Bay railway station. The nearest bus service is in Pevensey Bay.

Some points of interest include a sand and shingle beach, a Napoleonic defence tower, and a large Inn. The main village is surrounded by mostly dry marshland to the North, in which lay the land remains of an ancient settlement known as Northolt, which is thought to have gradually been abandoned when the sea retreated (though there is some speculation about this). There is a local shop located on the Caravan site.

This delightful terraced, former coastguard's cottage is situated near a caravan site in the small village of Normans Bay, between Bexhill-on-Sea and Eastbourne. Restored to reflect its period with lots of lovely features, this Normans Bay cottage offers spacious living accommodation for couples and families looking for a coastal retreat. The twin bedroom at this Sussex cottage benefits from partial sea views, while the double bedroom has views over the Pevensey Levels, a natural haven for wild birds, flowers and animals to graze. The sitting room has comfy seating set around the woodburning stove, just the place to curl up with a good book. The dining area in this Normans Bay holiday home overlooks the courtyard garden, which is a sun trap and is the perfect spot to dine alfresco. The pebble beach is a one minute walk away along a private road, plus there are a number of footpaths if you fancy a ramble, and if golf is your game then the championship course at Cooden Beach is less than five miles away. With river and sea fishing popular in the area, along with the towns of Eastbourne and Hastings an easy drive away, this lovely Normans Bay cottage is an ideal base.
